Neapolitan Nativity character commonly named Calabrese. Head, hands and feet of terracotta, glass eyes to give a realistic expression.
He wears a batista cotton shirt; the skirts, the apron and the sleeves are made of pure silk taffetà embroidered with silk yarn. Hand painted cloths.
The body is of hemp and iron, materials which allow better movements. The manufacturing follows the 18th century Neapolitan Nativity tradition.
